Hi, my name is Cara and I’m a 21 year old woman. Every 28 days, give or take, I have a period. And it fucking sucks. Today, was one of those where I take from the 28 day cycle. I wasn’t due for another period for at least a week, but…

This because apparently, society has deemed that the process of the termination of a potential pregnancy to be disgusting but oh how they love the comparison of ‘garlands of sausages’. How is it possible for heterosexual men to be disgusted by bleeding wombs but get all excited when another fluid is discharged from the same place?

This also because in my country, female birth control isn’t covered and they will always blame a woman for getting pregnant when the men don’t want to be responsible enough for not wrapping their penis with the most basic form of barrier contraceptive. They don’t have to go through hormonal changes, which are side effects of the pills and condoms are readily available anywhere. 

And this because I am a woman too.
